1/6 PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE OF HANDSOME YOUNG MAN, ID'd "TILGHMAN, FEB. 24, 1859."
This 1/6 plate daguerreotype is of a young man identified as "sitter Tilghman, in the year of 1859, February 24th." There are no wipe marks, but there are spots and tarnish to the outer edges of the image. It has been resealed. It is in a half case that has the name of the sitter and date the image was taken written in pencil.
