'This lot of 2" Taklon's got wet during transit and have some rusting/staining on the handle and ferrule. It DOES NOT affect the bristles and hence performance of the brush.
This Homestead Deluxe Taklon brush excels in applying fine finishes like shellac, thinned lacquer and water based clear finishes. Not for paints or heavy clear finishes like varnish. Fine Taklon bristles leave a fine surface. Sculpted wood handle is comfortable.
This brush also excels at precise finish application on items that are complicated or finely detailed like carvings and moldings.  Buy all 4 sizes and save on S/H and about 15% off price.
