This 10 3/4
-inch charger is decorated with circles showcasing calligraphic messages, bamboo, prunus, pine and lingzhi mushrooms. The ground consists of classic Japanese diapers of  T-frets, swastika and Greek keys. Great condition. This charger is well made and hefty (over 2 lbs). No marks, likely from the late 1800's-early 1900's. This blue and white plate usually with brown pie-crust edges belong to the family of Japanese utilitarian dishes referred to as Igezara transferwares.
