  • Condition: Beautifully painted with crimped rim. There is generalized crazing which is consistent with Satsuma ware. The top branch has a very faint scratch just below the rim that runs through the top flower. It is difficult to see unless a bright light is on that area.

    Description

    This lovely Tomozan Satsuma plate dates to the late 19th Century Meiji Period.
    It measures 6" in Diameter with a slightly raised foot.
    The three green birds rest on tree branches filled with pink and white blossoms. Gold accents on the tree branches and leaves as well as around the crimped rim.
    The gold plate stand is sold with this plate. A perfect display for any collector.
