    This is an antique Edo Era (c.1860) Japanese ceramic imari bowl with all hand painted designs both on the inside and bottom edge.
    This type of
    bowl
    was used as a dish to hold snacks or small appetizers
    . It measures 6 1/2" in diameter by 1 1/4" tall (15 x 3 cm). Having been in storage for much the past century, it remains in
    very fine condition
    . No chips or hairlines. A great size for serving something very special.
