It's my pleasure to offer at auction an Extremely Nice Unused 1951-1961 PFLUEGER No.1993L "SUMMIT" HIGHLY- ENGRAVED & JEWELED LEVEL-WIND CASTING REEL WITH ORIGINAL BOX, INSTRUCTIONS, HANG TAG, LEATHER DRAWSTRING BAG, SCREWDRIVER WRENCH, CORK ARBOR & REEL OIL. Nice to find in the complete original package. Produced sometime in the years following WWII. With its highly-engraved side plates and crank handle, it's still considered by many to be one of the finest-looking reels built. The level wind cap cover is stamped "Pflueger SUMMIT No.1993L Trade Mark - Made In U.S.A.". Under the foot reads "PATENTED". Comes equipped with strong clicker, smooth level-wind, strong anti-backlash control, perfect jeweled oil caps, tension control, covered/sliding oil port, lightweight aluminum spool, white plastic handle grips and an extra level-wind pawl nut concealed in a receptacle built into the side of the face plate. Reel is in Very Fine condition and was found wrapped in its original cellophane, which completely disintegrated when handled. It's never been used, but does have a visible scratch on the tail plate. Absolutely perfect otherwise. Needless to say, it displays beautifully. Works perfectly and is very smooth-running. Put up in the original box, in fine or better condition, showing light wear. The instructions are crisp and fresh. The labeled original leather drawstring bag is pristine. The hang tag is in good condition. Also comes with Pflueger's cork arbor, a bottle of No. 379 reel oil and the "Little Giant" screwdriver wrench. A very choice post-war combo, all original and complete.
