Most old porcelains of SHOKI-AKAE have a serious flaw. But this has no serious flaw. It is very rare and very precious.
AGE : Over 300 yeas ago. It is the early Edo period.
This is the old original. This is never an imitation.
MATERIAL : Colored porcelain of Imari-yaki of SHOKI-AKAE.
IMARI-yaki is a general term of porcelain that has been produced in the Hizen area centered onthe current Saga Prefecture. It has a long history. Origin is a 17 century. And it is also famous as the birthplace of Japanese porcelain.
About SHOKI-AKAE. Originally, IMARI ware began to baked blue-and-white porcelain from the first of the 1600s. It began to baked a colored porcelain from the middle stage of the 1600s after that. We call the porcelain at the time as SHOKI-AKAE. Real one is very very rare and very precious.
