Vintage Humpal Side Cast Fishing Reel
.
There is no product number on the reel, only Pat. Pend, stamped on the bottom of the reel foot.
From the information I found it appears that the reel was manufactured around 1952 by William Humpal of Boulder. Colorado.
He also sold the same reel with a chromed spool cover to the Weber Corp. who marketed it as a Spin-X.
It is a similar design to the wright and McGill Fre-Line reel.
With the exception of some surface damage to the spool cover and a small dent on the bottom of the spool cover it’s in very nice condition.
I’m not very familiar with these reels but it appears that it’s in good mechanical condition.
