VINTAGE JAPANESE IMARI SQUARE SERVING PLATE CRANE & PINE RICE DESIGN ^ ~

Description

This is a nice size rectangular Imari plate with a multi-color design including crane and pine (Japanese symbol of strength and longevity) as well as plum blossoms and a central and back side design of ripe rice grain.  It has a nice scalloped shape around the perimeter which also has a gold border.  It dates to mid 20th century.
This rectangular plate measures 10 1/4" long 9 1/4 by 1 3/4" tall (26 x 23.5 x 4.5 cm).  Having been in storage for bout 40 years, this dish remains in
excellent condition.
