, made by the Enterprise Mfg. Co., Akron, Ohio, U.S.A., circa the early 1900s. Enterprise also made Pflueger and 4 Brother’s reels.
The reel features nickel-plated brass construction, a backsliding “clicker,” spool tension adjustment tab, and a single ceramic handle knob that turns freely.
The reel is in

condition, clean, and operates smoothly. May I point out that I do not believe the tail plate end cap is the original, but it fits. There is some wear, but that’s understandable for a reel close to 100 years old.
The gear ratio of this reel is 2:1. It measures 1 5/8” in diameter, 2 ¾” across, and weighs 4.5 oz. Line capacity is 40 Yds. of vintage line.
This small, well-made reel makes for an excellent collectible or display item but can definitely be fished with.
Please Note:
Most of my reels come with cardboard reel storage boxes. Some are original, which are scarce; most are facsimiles/copies of original reel box labels. Original boxes are always shown and identified as such. All the boxes are intended for reel storage and to facilitate reel identification purposes only. No other purpose is intended or implied!
