Description
Up for your consideration is a beautiful Royal Albert Daffodil Footed Teacup and matching Saucer. This particular teacup was introduced for the month of March in the Flower of the Month series. There are hand painted yellow daffodils that are accented with orange stamens and thin green leaves on both sides of the cup as well as the saucer. To add to the beauty of the cup there is a thin gild band inside the cup along with the rim, the handle, and the footed base. The scalloped saucer is also trimmed in gold as well. The tulip shaped teacup measures 2 7/8" tall and holds 7 ounces of liquid. The saucer is 5 5/8" in diameter.
Both pieces are stamped with the black crown followed by the words "Royal Albert Bone China England, Flower of the Month Series, Set of Twelve, Daffodil No. 3. This series was issued by Royal Albert during the 1950s into the 1960s.
As for condition both pieces look to be in almost mint condition. Even the gold trim looks fantastic! The only flaw that I can feel is a teeny tiny rough spot along the saucers edge. This can only be felt and not seen!
If you are a collector of Royal Albert this stunning teacup and saucer is a must for your collection.
