Wolfert's Roost Daguerreotype Case with Very Nice Daguerreotype

Description

This case depicts Washington Irving's home, "Wolfert's Roost" and it says so under the home. 1/6th size. Very good condition leather case though missing one clasp.
The daguerreotype inside has all the looks of a Southworth and Hawes image. Excellent depth and beautiful tinting to her face, especially her lips. There is obvious toning at the top. Also, some light spiders and mat scrapes at 9 o'clock. Still impressive...
